Jackson Macaulay, a 20-year-old sailor from Halifax, Canada, boasts a 14-year sailing career. Starting in the Optimist, he attended five IODA events, including the 2018 Worlds. Transitioning through the I420 and 29er classes, he qualified for the ISAF Youth Worlds in Oman in 2021. Exploring the 49er and Nacra, Jackson excelled in the Waszp, currently ranking in the top 20 globally. He secured victories at the Canadian National Championship and the Atlantic Coast Championship, and participated in the Sail GP Inspire Program in Chicago, finishing second. Jackson also interned with the Canadian Sail GP Team shore crew in Taranto and Cadiz. His next venture takes him to Australia for the Waszp World Championship. With aspirations of becoming a professional foiling sailor involved with SailGP and the Americas Cup, Jackson Macaulay is a rising force in the sailing world.
