Yesterday, the September Seychelles Sailing Center joined SSL Team Libya and SSL Team Tanzania at the training center.
After a long journey for some of the sailors, the team had the chance to get familiar with the boats, coaches and the training center before heading out on the water for the first time.
For some sailors, it was a particularly special day — many of them will be experiencing sailing for the very first time this week. It was the beginning of a new challenge, new experiences.
As a reminder, throughout September, SSL is hosting training sessions for emerging sailing nations from across Africa.
The main goal of the project is to support emerging sailing nations and help develop the sport across Africa. By developing sailing on every continent, SSL aims to grow a global sailing community and bring more nations together on the racecourse.
