Next to SSL Team Tahiti on the starting line will stand SSL Team Seychelles. For the Seychellois team, this will be a special moment, as they are set to make their debut in the Star Sailors League.
Both teams will compete in Group C of the SSL Gold Cup qualifiers, taking place from June 2 to 4. With only two tickets to the next stage available, every race will matter on the Road to Rio.
For Seychelles, the ocean has always been part of everyday life. Now, SSL Team Seychelles is ready to bring that connection onto the international stage and prove that even a small island nation can compete with the best.
Led by five-time Olympian Allan Julie, the team combines experience, passion, and a strong sailing tradition. One of the most respected athletes in Seychelles, Julie has spent decades representing his country around the world while also helping develop young sailors at home.
The squad brings together sailors from different backgrounds, from dinghy racing and windsurfing to yacht sailing, all united by the same goal, to represent Seychelles with pride.
Their next challenge awaits in Switzerland, where Team Seychelles will fight for a place in the next stage of the SSL Gold Cup.
