He began sailing at nine years old, after he and his brother received a scholarship at the Punta del Este Yacht Club. He took part in two Southamerican and two World Championships in Optimist. Also participated in two Southamerican and one World Championship in Laser. In 2016 he joined Hernán Umpierre to compete in 29er, and after a year and a half -having assisted to one Southamerican and two World Championships-, the shifted to 49er, to begin their Olympic campaign. Together they have been Youth European Champions (U23), overall Asiatic Champions, bronze medalists in the Junior World Championship, and Top 15 in the World Championship.
