He won a gold medal at the 2000 49er World Championships and two medals at the 49er European Championships, silver in 1999 and bronze in 2001. He participated in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, placing fourth in the 49er class (along with Santiago López-Vázquez). He currently sails in cruising, TP52, RC44 and ClubSwan
