John started in the Optimist class in Salinas, where he has lived all his life and is the city where sailing is most practiced in Ecuador. He has more than 15 years of sailing and continued his career representing his country in several classes including 470, Laser, Lightning, Snipe and Sunfish, obtaining international titles at the junior and senior level. He has been national champion on multiple occasions and in different classes. A passionate sailor with a strong character who always seeks to give his best in the water.
