Murat began sailing in 2009 and has since competed in numerous amateur regattas. He holds a skipper’s license and a Yachtmaster Offshore certificate, with more than 20,000 nautical miles logged.

He has taken part in several prestigious international regattas within the Rolex series, including the Rolex Giraglia (2022, 2023), the Rolex Middle Sea Race (2023), and the Rolex Caribbean 600 (2025).

Owner of a J/112 yacht and the Jenis racing team, he competed in the ARC 2024 season.

He currently serves as the Commodore of the Almaty Yacht Club.
